5 Benefits of Drinking Green Smoothies

In our busy lives, we often don't take the time to eat healthfully or properly chew our foods. One of the reasons that I wanted to share the benefits of drinking green smoothies.
A green smoothie is an all natural approach to getting the nutrients and benefits our body needs, and doesn't require any extra supplements, and that's the benefit of a green smoothie diet.
If losing weight and becoming healthy is a priority, then don't fall for the next fad diet. Instead, drink a tasty, healthy and filling green smoothie in the morning and start losing weight safely without feeling hungry.
I have listed 5 benefits of drinking green smoothies:
#1 - Easy to Start and Do. Yes, you can have this smoothie blended in a matter of minutes. One of the top complaints I hear from people as to why they never start any kind of healthy eating or diet plan is that it takes too much time. Making and drinking green smoothies is easy to start and only takes a few minutes each day.
#2 - Great taste. If you've ever tried other diet foods,or drinks you may know that they're not all that great tasting. Many are bland and others just taste nasty. Green smoothies can be made to taste the way you want just by adding flavors you enjoy.
#3 - Filling. When you enjoy a green smoothie you will not feel those annoying hunger pangs that so many people complain about while on traditional diets. You won't run to the potato chips or other calorie laden carbs because you won't be hungry. Green smoothies are filling, therefore you will eat less.
#4 - Energizing. This is my go to in the morning. Drinking a green smoothie in the morning will give you a nice boost of what you need to keep going all day. In just one smoothie you'll get nutritious vitamins, minerals and nutrients that never slow down your digestion. The natural ingredients are easily digested by your body and provide a ton of useful energy.
#5 - More fiber. Green smoothies are different from other drinks such as fruit juice or drinks made from a juicing machine. They contain the entire fruit and veggie, providing you with all of the fiber you need to keep everything moving along nicely, so to speak.

Super Green Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1/2 avocado
1/4 cup lemon juice
5 mint leaves (Optional)
1 -2 handfuls of Kale or Spinach or other mixed greens
1 cup sparkling water or regular water
Directions: In a blender, blend together all of the ingredients until smooth. Serve immediately.
Serves 1
To give this smoothie more of a boost you can add nuts, or chia seeds and suddenly you have elevated this drink into something that is both nutritiously satisfying and filling.
